Mobile App

When I first started the Model Remodel version of my Fanhome/Eaglemoss 1:900 scale U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701-D build, I was simply going to control it with a simple Infrared (IR) remote. However, when I also added Bluetooth connectivity, I knew we were going to need some kind of mobile phone/tablet interface. I tried a few different things, but finally settled on a custom Mobile App I created myself. You can see how it was made, download the Android APK file, and see what commands are used.

Bluetooth

While building the Model Remodel version of my Fanhome/Eaglemoss 1:900 scale U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701-D partwork build-up, I ran into the issue of trying to control all the lighting/sound functions and still retain the ability to separate the saucer/battle sections. Eventually, I settled on learning how Bluetooth (BT) short-range wireless communications worked and bought myself some cheap BT modules designed for use with Arduino!
