Replacing the Battery Cover
Step A
Retrieve your Battery Box we disassembled in the previous stage. Insert three (3) AAA batteries (not supplied) into the Battery Box, with the polarity as shown:
Fit the new Battery Box Cover onto the Battery Box, and secure it with the Battery Box Screw.
We have done this a few times now, haven’t we? Make sure the metal tab on the Battery Box Cover is touching the positive contact:

Step B
Carefully remove nine (9) Escape Pod Covers and three (3) Dark Windows from their sprues and fit them into the back of Deck Panel U2-04.
Reminder: I sanded all of these windows down already. See The Windows page for more details:
As before, I used pieces of black electrical tape behind the Escape Pod Covers and Dark Windows to reduce light leak:
Fitting Deck Panel U2-04
Step C
Retrieve your saucer Upper Skeleton assembly from the previous stage. Fit the Deck Panel U2-04 to this right-side location and partially secure it with one (1) BM screw.
This is your friendly reminder to try using 3-in-One Oil on all screws going into metal:
Grab the two free LEDs from the nearby Deck Panels installed in the previous stage. Slide these under the top notches in Reflector Panels U3-09-A and U3-08-A, as shown.
You may have to separate the panels a bit to get these fully inserted:
Securing Deck Panel U2-04 to the skeleton with five (5) more BM screws.
There should be a total of six (6) BM screws now installed in this panel:
Finish securing Deck Panel U2-04 to the outer panels with four (4) EM screws:
From above, this is what our latest Deck Panel should look like once attached:
At this point, you may want to test the window lights of the previous stage’s two panels at this point. Connect their Deck Panel Light cables to the PCB and Battery Box and these windows should light up:
Thoughts
After the last stage, this one seemed so routine… thankfully! I have a feeling there will be many stages where we just build a panel and attach it to the saucer frame. Bring it on!
